Bores of the actuating cylinders are chrome plated to avoid corrosion due to water in the actuating medium.

The Balanced Plug Actuator is gas force-balanced to allow operation with only one control line and a minimum amount of air or gas actuation pressure.

The actuating medium and compressor gas are separated by a double seal and dual venting arrangement. This complies with API 618 by preventing the intermixing of actuating medium with the gas being compressed.
